As promised in a previous entry, we are posting some information today about our Saratov connection. In June of 2001, prior to the bombing of the World Trade Center, one of the Directors of Shuttle Educational Services travelled to Saratov, Russia to meet his wife and her daughter. While he was there, he arranged to start our program at a Technical School in Saratov. He presented our Program to the local political leaders and it was enthusiastically received. We are still working with a small group of people in Saratov to begin our Student Shuttle Program there. It is very fitting that this is one of our international sites, since the first Russian Cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin is from this Region.
Our International Director is now living in Heflin, Alabama with his wife and daughter and working for General Dynamics at the Anniston Army Depot.
